acceptable time span for an appeal

i wondered if any of the reps know what the maximum time for an appeal to be sorted out should be.
I have been through the conduct code,been given my punishment and now yesterday did my appeal with the appeals manager.The manager told me because of the complexity of the case ,ie more than one person in the case, i will have to wait up to 3 months to hear the final outcome.I am off work with stress/depression at the moment but have been told to put in an ET1 anyway by my union!!

I have a claim in now to an ET against RM, if you do claim to an ET you must put it in before the 3 Month deadline. You can do it online and you dont have to be dismissed to put a claim into an ET.

yeah thanks for that i am submitting my claim well in side of the 3 month deadline but i am just questioning the length of time the appeal will take,its ridiculous and in my opinion deliberately delayed!!

ACAS say that any appeal/investigation should be resonsable in the circumstances, The ET will also like you to try and sort any appeal 1st...... 3 months sounds long but I dont know the details. However this is RM we are dealing with

It`s typical RM stalling tactics,they hope that you will give up or that it can be swept under the carpet.
Get the ET1 form in, it will take ages for it to get to court anyway and RM will drag it out for as long as possible.
