recently i was removed from my duty due to the manager chaning the hours from pt to ft
i was told this was to happen asap ==== if the manager had of done this when he told me about the change then i would have been fine following the MTSF
i made the mistake of telling him the way it was supposed to work following the MTSF
the smart twat in his wisdom held of for a few months without putting the duty up on the board
during this period however he moved some other pt men up to ft in order to free up a duty to place me in when he advertised the duty i was on.
i lost my duty, i lost my grievance at stage 3
i was prepared to move up to ft to stay on this duty but not now as i feel i have been shafted.
i was on this duty due to family work life balance reasons, no other duties like this in the office
what can i do now? or how do i go about challenging this
can he change my work life hours now

You mention Family reasons, make a request to be kept on the same hours for family friendly reasonstrouble wrote:we have no rep in our office

Re: how do i go about fighting the manager
Ive been in a similar situation myself the last couple of years, when i said to my rep this this applied to me he just laughed & said "nice try, think of something a bit better next time" this incensed me in such a way i exploded into such a volley of abuse directed at my rep "you know ive been stitched up, you know ive been stitched up" - he seemed quite happy to feed me to the lions for some reason - in my opinion it was a disgrace, obviously the CWU at my office had been in collusion with the management over who gets the knife, & this case it was me.belle smith wrote:You mention Family reasons, make a request to be kept on the same hours for family friendly reasons
All i can say is that the Area Manager on Dist was present with my shift manager nearby & decided to take me out of the work area to discuss my grievences. Now this guy was one of the most nastiest horrible men you would ever want to meet. We went in the office, no rep present, i presented my case - the AM then left the room to discuss the situation with my shift manager for a couple of minutes to return & tell me that he had over ruled the present situation & put me back where i should be.
No thanks to the CWU there thanks. Seems to be a lot of back stabbing going on at my office with regards to the CWU, the latest rounds of Job losses have come, & these are CWU proposals !!! Guess who's duties going ?? Yes you got it - yours truelly !!! Same Knife - Same Back - Same Rep. You know you cant trust the management, but you cant totally trust the CWU either. The abuse of National Agreements on both parts has allowed people to take out personal vendetta's against people that they dont like for one reason or other.
RM & CWU Reps Opinion is 'NOT' National Agreement
