No
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

A question of morals I think. There is nothing to stop you as MCs are on strike on Thursday but I have to be honest and ask what is the point of going on strike loosing pay and then doing the same work later on at the same rate - its kind of self defeating but it is just an opinion.

PS if its DO work - then its a big fat Image

This is one that really pees me off. We'll be out on strike for a day.. then immediately afterwards we get people swarming to do sorting on overtime to help clear the backlog.
I know we could all do with the money, but bloody hell!! I personally will not do any OT after action for at least a week.

Yeah it totally defeats the object, but what about part timers who rely on the over time?

These partimers shouldn't be relying on overtime anyway. They were aware of the hours they signed up for.

Thats what RM rely on though - people not earning enough and coming in on days off or doing docket, which is madness as they are still cutting hours.

People looking in would think the HR process was madness when you pay people to come in beyond their contracted hours but still cut back on the hours on a budget - its crazy I tell you - crazy.

strike will be from 9pm friday night to 9pm saturday night so if you work at 1:30pm you are breaking the strike, what you do after the strike is up to you regardless of other peoples opinions

I heard last week that management at Mail Centres went round on the Thursday nite asking which strike breakers wanted to do overtime at the weekend & did not list anyone on the sheets that had their names down that participated in the strike. I questioned the legality of this & was told it is totally illegal & against the rules of a legal ballot where you return to work under normal working practises. The company is breaking the law big time all over the place with the governments blessing.
