dsa mail, STOP! um

Post by RoyalQuest »

When taking industrial action, we should not be letting the tnt etc lorries cross the picket line. In 2007 they were handing us letters from there bosses saying to please let them through as they had nothing to do with strikes. These companies are partly to blame for some of the problems we have now. STOP!! them crossing the pickets, turn there lorries around and tell them to p***off where they came from, we need to be militant this time!! :evil/mad :evil/mad

Not sure if I am way off the mark here but why can we not refuse to handle any of this downstream access mail, as I see it this is one of the main problems with the financial side of the bussiness.
Let tnt, dhl,uk post and all the other companies deliver there own mail, we all know crozier was responsible for this comming in.
I would be very interested if any one has any ideas why we cannot only deliver our own stamped, ppi mail.
Am i way off the mark, shoot me down if you have to, by the way I have been out every day with my fellow london staff.

I agree 100%. These leeches can shove their begging letters up their asses, we should stop their trucks from crossing official CWU picket lines, and in between strike days members should refuse to handle dsa crap.
We must be tougher now, than we've ever been. We're up against a management structure that from top to bottom, who would willingly put each and every one of us on the dole, so feck 'em.

One positive aspect of this will be that customers realising that anything handled by a DSA company will come to a dead stop on reaching Royal Mail areas, will then attempt to re-engage with RM as their preferred business partner - only trouble is Mr Crozier will say "sorry, but we have sold all the infrastructure and paid off or sacked all the guys who used to deal with your products so we can't help you"

When there is competition out there - you work to annihilate it - not to accommodate it - Brown, Mandelson, Crozier and their partners in corporate crime are guilty of sitting on their arses while we try to save the business. I can't lay any blame on the guy who replaced Leighton as chairman, because he is so insignificant in all this that no one is sure who he is or if he ever arrived in the job.

Id love it if we could stop delivering downstream mail but unfortunatly the EU regulators force us into delivering it in order to open a competetive market. The royal mail should have prepared better when their monopoly on the marked expired, they knew it was coming for and had years to do something about it but they just left it and now they put all the s**t our way.

Postcomm and European regulators had hoped that our competitors would take up the option of being true competitors by taking on delivery of letter mail ... Hope in Hell more like! ... Like the much of the legislation that comes out of Europe it was botched and open to political in-fighting and compromise!

What sensible company would burden itself with the huge cost of funding a rival USO or similar, be it full- or part-time, without being pressured to do so? The postal regulators should have demanded a timescale of introducing deliveries, albeit on a city by city basis, otherwise the licences they currently hold would be withdrawn. I understand the fee paid by our competitors for delivering DSA in no way compensates, or contributes to a large degree, funding RM's obligation to the USO. Hence the draconian-cum-panic measures introduced by RM through intimidation, imposition and excutive action to reduce its costs which have brought us to the situation we are now faced with, rather than working with the CWU and its workforce to find an equitable solution.

Anyone else noticed the increase in DSA Parcels we're getting at the moment? :hmmmm
I wonder if the penny's dropped with their Customers, that it's a Postie who actually delivers it. So they'll still be delayed? :d'oh!
