i need advice ive been with royal mail for 4 weeks and i have possibley broke my ankle this afternoon i got to go back on thursday and they will tell me if i have or not if not i could be back a week on monday were do i stand am i a dead cert for the sack advice please

was the accident work related? if it was was it entered in accident book .you need a self certification if off for a week but if you are off longer you will need to be signed off.ring work and talk to your dom or line manager and explain.the standards for new entrants are listed somewhere here but i shouldnt think that they will sack you.just be honest with them.

it is also advisable to have someone who knows the ropes to accompany you on your back to work interview.also join the union if you havent allready.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
