I think it's the CWU that the Government wants to break

I know there is a lot of things going on in RM but I think that it's the CWU that the government wants to get rid of.
The reason I am saying this is because our unions are strong and that means there will be problems for the government when it comes to signing the Lisbon Treaty. If the unions were weak then signing would be alot easier and also a lot cheaper. The Yes vote is more important than what most people realise. If the unions are broken in this country then the UK becomes a buyers market for the billion dollar companies of the world.
I for one do not want to see this happen, but it could if certain union members do not stand their ground (I'm refering to the people that cross picket-lines without even bothering to understand what is occuring or they are just plain selfish). Once the public realises just what is going on (and I hope they realise sooner than later) then I'm pretty certain they will be behind you all the way.

The Lisbon treaty is already signed by Brown and the Queen,behind closed doors and in much secrecy.It needs the irish to vote for it,in this their second referendum,reminds me of the way forward vote,YOU will keep voting until we get the result we want.
2 other countries had a referendum and both rejected it as i recall.

This would then open the gate for Blair to become the first President of the EU. But Mandelson also knows that if the Unions are too weak then Brown who is generally supported by their leaders will come under increasing pressure to be replaced as PM. However, those self same Unions members would be wholly against Blair's ambitions as he would weaken whatever protection we have under EU rules.

Basically Mandelson is pulling the strings and he is playing a balancing game trying to weaken the Unions for Blair, but not so much as to weaken Brown into an early election.

As I have already said in another thread..... You should be running the CWU, if not, at least be in a very senior position. Your understanding of what is actually happening and they way in which you explain things are exceptional to say the least. The above information you have just written adds more proof to what I have said previously.

Even Mandy and Blunkett talk about the " post democratic age " , the powers that be want us all to be docile and accept every EU directive going . They don't serve , they govern , too many machine politicans that haven't done a tap of work in the real world . The EEC was originally set up by Fascists from WW2 , saves invading countries and blowing everything to bu**ery ?

You used to worry when you found yourself agreeing with Vanessa Redgrave , now it's the Eurosceptic Right ! .

New Labour are linked to Common Purpose , which is basically in reality ! , about giving up sovereignty to run our countries as seen fit , and having people to administer things on behalf of the EU when that sovereignty is given up , the banks and corporate cabals fund Common Purpose and those people don't want stroppy , bolshy & militant unions getting in the way of profits .

Mandy just happened to have a top secret sheet on as to how to deal with the CWU - interesting - There would also be a lot of bad feeling about his Privatization attempt being stopped .

There's stuff that goes back to the 90's and all the strikes when New Labour were in opposition - New Labour thought it would scupper their chances of being elected as people would play the Winter of Discontent card , Blair did want to privatize RM but he faced a back bench rebellion so he had to go for
softer targets and sweetheart unions instead . The Postal Services Act and Postcon was Mandy fudging things . :mfo :mfo

No other countries have gone the New Labour or RM way as they think they've made such a b**locks of things .

What makes me laugh is that people have fallen for that myth of Blair & Brown hatching up a cosy deal in a restaurant as to when Brown was allowed to take over - it's complete bo**ocks .

Blair had stuff on Brown that could be proven in a court of law . Brown had stuff on Blair but it couldn't be proved . As soon retread Mandy came back into the fold , it just made people in the party ; doubly suspicious .

Let's just say Blair was very , very cute in getting out at just the right time .
