I asked my manager today if it was possible to have a copy of the minutes of the negotiations between the cwu and royal mail and he said he would try and get me a copy (we all know what that means) He did suggest going to my cwu rep, which i did, but he said he couldnt get hold of them, he didnt even know what they were and that it was being dealt with high up.

Now my question is are doors being shut in my face, am i allowed to see these minutes? If not why not.

Royal Mail claim negotitations have been taking place yet cwu say they havent (although saying not being able to get the minutes is a confirmation surely that royal mail is talking, isnt it?)

look around whats happening at a mail centre or delivery office near you and it will get worse if we dont stick together.

If you look at the LTB's that have been released over the last three weeks, talks/negotiations have taken place around the issues causing the dispute. HQ have revealed as much as they are going to via the LTB's.


In terms of RM claim about lots of meetings between RM HQ and CWU lets not forget OPG's/Drivers are not the only grade represented by CWU. CWU and RM still talk to each other about grades and issues not related the dispute involving OPG's/Drivers in RML.

Wouldn't it be possible to get them, via a Freedom of Information request?
Or are they classed as confidential?

This is not about believing anyone etc i just feel im so totally in the dark about whats happening and im fed up with it to be honest. I voted and i voted yes, there was never any question of me doing that, i totally agree that we have to stand together. Im at one of the mail centres that has probably had it the worst, im sure you could work it out which one.

All im asking is if its possible really, if im allowed (legally or something) and im being denied then thats another matter altogether.

I would like to add that i really do think we are winning this, we must make sure nationwide we stick together
