skrike - breach of contract?

skrike - breach of contract?

Got the ballot paper this morning, on the bottom it warns taking strke action could be a breach of contract and lead to dismissal. My question: is there anything in the RM contract which could potentally be breached, and has RM ever actually fired anyone for striking?

Not working is the breach of contract - but don't worry they can't sack you unless they follow certain procedures and in an Official Action, which this will be, they can't do it for at least 12 weeks and then they would have to sack everyone who is still striking.

Not much chance of that.

Thanks for that, just to query so if this strike lasts less than 12 weeks, then RM cannot fire you for striking?

Well they can fire you but it would be deemed as an "unfair dismissal" and you would win in an ET/IT.
