Career break - auction

I'd like to know if when your on a career break for 1 year and a internal auction happens should your manager get in touch regarding duties etc, or not.

whats an auction ive never heard of that before in royal mail.I was told that if while on a career break your turn came round for redundancy you get offered it .

Maybe your right mate, i'm too young for redundancy.
I took a career break and they had a internal auction, new 10 hours walks . I was finding out if they should have got in contact with me???

i may be wrong but it sounds as though you're talking about a re-sign rolling or otherwise, if this is the case then the answer is no.
The business will keep a job open for you although it does not guarantee it is the one you vacated or even in the same office.
I would say i hope this helps although if you are talking about a re-sign i'm sure it won't.
