Do you mean a consultative ballot to ask if people want to have an official Industrial Action ballot?

2 Options here I believe -

Option 1 - call a gate meeting and discuss things then ask for a show of hands for those that want/don't want a ballot.

Option 2 - call a proper meeting of CWU members after work and as long as the rep and branch officials are there you can also have a show of hands here as well.

You, as far as I know, cannot have a ballot on any action to be taken as this is now illegal but you can have a show of hands to decide to ballot and what the ballot would be about.
