Pegasus was brought in to our office back in November (caused alot of problems, duties just to big, men continuously complaining about them) management have only got round to looking at the duties again now. (Nothing surprising there then) but they have in their wisdom only reviewed the duties that are claiming overtime as the other duties are done by workers coming in early and using their cars (management lackies, and young part-timers afraid of the managers, no balls to stand up for themselves) as a result they have told us that there was some crucial information left out when calculating the size of the runs and that these duties are now over the 3.5 hour delivery span.
Is the figure they come up with an average for the whole week or is it a daily figure?
If it's an average for the week then on heavy days it could be over the figure they have come back with.
What can the men do about this especially with summer lapsing looming next week?
The union rep has only just taken over and from what we can gather from him the managers are looking for the men to take on extra work (lapsed duties) plus any resourcing that was previously taking place.
I know someone on here will be able to help so I thank-you now incase I am unable to reply for a while.

Re: Pegasus
Just like RM to assess duties in the summer period. By the way the 3.5 hours is a maximum daily delivery span

Re: Pegasus
AFAIA they base it on a certain call rate and attendance rate over the whole year based on total office figures.
For instance if they decide that in your neck of the woods most walks only go to 85% of the DPS each day then thats what they base the walks on. Therefore if your call rate is higher on that particular day or duty, the walk goes over. Same for the attendance rate, which is where you have to have customer interaction, if they base your average too low then it will affect the duties in the same way.
Ideally you would need to know what these parameters where when they set up the duties and also try to gauge if your duty is even close to them.

Re: Pegasus
We based our revision on an 88% call rate.
Obviously on very heavy days your going to more calls than that, meaning your duty may be over 3.5 hours.
The advice as always is - dont come in early, dont use your car, use the pouch matrix, and if you do go over CLAIM every minute.
