Tell the twat to write to the Outdoor Department at CWU HQ.

I recently approached our DOM with the 1995/6 agreement on D2D's like yourself with concerns over prep time. There can be no argument that all D2D work, thats prep and delivery should be able to be fulfilled within working hours. I've a reply from Bob Gibson informing me of exactly that. However anyone who reads the agreement and the later amendment will find its not exactly that clear. The way i understand it is that everyone has an allocated prep time for their duty, i.e letters, flats, packets, redi's and dead mail ....you should also have the time within this prep time to prep 20% of your D2D's...if you find that you have not, then its a case that you don't have enough prep time for your duty. I personally would like to see a clearer agreement on D2D's, although i beleive there are disscussions to be had over the future of D2D's.

I have used this on a number of doms, they all have been dumb struck the usual reply is, that is too old! My answer, show me something more up to date at least I have something in writing, where's yours?? That usually ends that debate! Then ask them the question if it has to be done in our time then we don't have to do them, do you want them done or not? If it is our time then it is voluntary and we don't want to do them.

If they put everything in Plain English then they couldn't use bluff and bluster to try to get everything they want (they are RM).
