The only people in RM with spare time these days is management. When frontline staff go out on their walks most managers sit around scratching their backsides.
For health and safety reasons I assume that there needs to be a couple of managers in the office at all times in case of emergency, etc. But the rest of them have time to do more work. After all they are the ones always telling us we all have to muck in for the good of the company, well perhaps it's their turn now!
So I propose in that 1,2 or 3 walks in every delivery office are deemed managers walks, dependant on how many managers are staffed there. These walks will be prepped by delivery staff but delivered by management when the workforce goes out.
With over 1250 offices saving potentially 4 to 12 working hours a day this would give the company a large saving and with the massive staff shortage right now no workers would have to lose their jobs and it would fill in some of the staff shortage due to everyone leaving!
Alternatively make half the managers part time?
