Weight limit to carry for parcels

Hi All

Is therr any official documents showing the weight limit of parcels we deliver?

today i got a matress at 34kg! the box indicated clearly for"team lift" but are we supposed to deliver these by our own without any trolleys given? i also got a coke box from tiktok shop which is also 30kg+

30Kg is the limit for RM, only big business customers AFAIK can use it. Are you RM or PF as PF might have different rules/limits?

I thought 16kg was the max we could lift without any lifting aids?

Think in theory it's meant to be a 2 person lift above 15Kg but in practice with the new white sleeves it isn't. The second person can't help until the first person has lifted it out of the york.

Reading the guidance it states that a sack trolley should be available. I have no knowledge of a sack trolley existing at our office much less one that we could each have in our van just in case a collection turns out to weigh above 20kg - as happened to me a couple of weeks ago when a customer had three massive 20kg+ boxes

If you put your back out it will be considered your own fault.

Someone in our office picked up a really heavy box with nothing written on it about being heavy and badly damaged their back,was off for months and made a big claim well over 10k.......where there is blame......get those claims in guys and girls Royal Mail do not care for your well being,and those Yorkes with the white sleeves are definitely not safe,lets get the union actually fighting our cases ,i mean thats what we pay them for to look after our well being when the company refuse.

It’s ludicrous that they allow customers to order collections for overweight items which we have no trolley for.
