Stopping Political Donations

Is it still possible to stop the donation paid from my subs to the Labour Party? If there is, how do I go about doing it? I’m presuming I do it through the CWU and not HR?

The political fund is not specific to the Labour Party, it pays for all of the union's political campaigning.

Yes you can opt out

The levy is optional – if you want to opt in or opt out of paying it please contact politics@cwu.org and include your postal address or membership number.

If I remember I filled in an a form and they stopped my whole union fees lol. Didn't bother me as it gave me a pay rise. They only worry about blokes who like to dress as women and religious crackpots thousands of miles away anyway
