daylight robbery?

after having received my pay slip today, i noticed that the amount of overtime paid fell short of what i had claimed on the docket,i have enquired as to the reason why and was told that the volume of mail at my do did not warrent o/t payment on certain days, surely this is an illegal act, i realise a lot of readers will come up with the answer, dont do any overtime and cut off when you complete your contracted hours, its not easy for some to just work contracted hours some people on short contracts need a percentage of overtime just to get by. can anybody tell me what is the legality of this action which royal mail is adapting

this is something i personally regard as illegal what action if any are the people in your office taking and if none why not?

Posties in our office have had O/T taken off them and when they have asked what has happened they have been told its a mistake.But guess what they have never received it.Being robbed but nothing seems to get done.OUR DUM IS A BULLY AND POSTIES HAVE NOW RUNG THE HELPLINE.Another postie has complained and they are taking him off his duty because cant do it in time

i am struggling to get my head around this topic,when i suggested that the only alternative would be for me to only work my contracted hours and return with any undelivered mail i was told that this would be consideredto be unlawful delay of the mail,surely if anything is unlawful then it has to be royal mails actions to overtime payments and their attitude to anyone who"legally" only wants to work their contracted hours. come on cwu get some legal advice for anyone who is being treated in this manner.

how can it be unlawful delay of the mail as it is illegal for them to make u do unpaid work and illegal for them to make u do overtime tell them to shove it and come pick your bags up as soon as u are off pay

There's a lot of dodgy management tactics going on right now. A lot of you will know already what I mean, but trouble is management also read this forum so you have to be very careful what you write on here!

we have 30 walks in our office and i reckon 20/25 of em regulary return with mail especially towards the latter end of the week if you just deliver it nowt ever gets done its the only way to make em listen cut off and cut off every time
