Leave getting cancelled short notice

Leave requests(both single days and weeks) in my office don't appear on the People App until the week prior. There's been several instances lately with people having booked time off ages ago told last minute nope not allowed, yet others have been able to book those dates afterwards. Is there any way to force management to have leave requested confirmed on the app as and when booked? The dodgy dealings going on is scandalous. Certain faces seem to always get the sought after days off, whilst others have had long standing plans ruined. Why spend all that money on the App if offices can ignore it?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. Leave is booked via the DOM but there is no way to 'prove' you have booked time off. In my office you can book leave and be told it's fine, but closer to the date be told actually you are not off, yet certain colleagues have managed to come after you and get those days. The App is meant to show what leave you have but it's ignored by the management.

Do you not fill in a leave slip an get a reply granted or not granted.

If you have been told the leave you have booked is ok, do you get an updated leave card/sheet, because not everyone uses the app? Then you have proof the leave has been authorised.

Our office always give updated annual
leave card (once authorised) to keep safe in case of disputes later.
