Removed from rural after conduct?

One of my colleagues is currently going through the conduct procedure, and I'm hearing that if she gets to keep her job then she's going to be taken off her walk and put onto a reserve duty, for the reason that the DOM can't trust her where she is currently.

I don't want to say too much on here, but she's up for intentional delay.

Can the DOM actually pull her off a walk that she signed for after our revision?

Depending on what she has or hasn't done that might not be the best advice.
The simple answer to the question above is yes - but it really depends on what has occurred.

Being removed from the duty might be preferable to being removed from the business completely?

I get you Pieoftheday, but, this isn't just stashing a couple of letters, it's pretty much a 'bang to rights, what the hell were you thinking' kind of deal. Along with another accusation that she's 100% guilty of by admission, and that's another potential gross misconduct.

She might get off on a technicality, but I'm wondering if there's any precedent or agreement that covers someone senior being taken off of a duty.

How on earth someone could get taken down the disciplinary route for wilful delay considering what the business itself is doing is utterly bonkers

would it matter if it was a rough estate or business route?
maybe just a plain "removed from duty" would suffice

In this instance, the reason being that it's easier to 'take advantage' of being alone on a rural. More so than it would as part of a shared van pairing.

This situation wouldn't have happened if my colleague weren't on a rural duty.

ok, but only you are privvy to the situation i guess, but if my dom came up to me and said they didn't trust me anymore i'd have to go on the sick otherwise i'd probably get sacked for assault

From the outside, yes, but if Royal Mail fails to meet their targets, even if it is caused by failed revisions, then they are fined. IIRC it was £50 million last time.

I think he was simply asking for advice.
A rep's training unfortunately doesn't cover every eventuality.
Not everyone has base motives.
