There are plenty of offices currently working to a 4 day week. I'm sure some of them will be able to point out the pro's and cons. You may well need to cut back on quite a few duties to go down that route.

I'm not sure about how it would work, after all the bulk of the work will be delivery so town walks will still only be out for 3 1/2 hours. I could only see it working for rural duties (who have no upper limit on delivery).

The 4 day weeks that are already in place are different.
What you would have to do now is a walk and a half, this was offered to us,guess what we said.
Good luck.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
