Training On Rurals

Does anyone know about an agreement that covers training new(ish) posties on rural duties?

Should they be sent out with someone who knows the duty for training, or can they just be told to suck it up and do it blind?

The guy has been in for about 6 months and he's pretty keen, but he's nervous about getting sent out on a rural blind.

I’m fairly new (9 months) and from the start I was told I wouldn’t be shown walks before doing it, like they used to do.
But if it helps, if I know which rural walk Im being put on, I’ll go and speak to whoever usually does it the week before to ask how they tie up, and anywhere that’s particularly hard to find and they are always happy to help. More so than the managers for sure. I’ll take a picture of the frame too just for reference in case I need it when I’m out there. It can be a bit daunting at first but once I’ve done it the first day it tends to make sense.

Hi I don't think there's a agreement as far as I know.but you should receive at least 3 days training ideally a full week,I've never heard of anyone being sent out blind on a rural, town walks yes all the time.. the rurals I was trained on would be abit of a nightmare without being shown the round first.
