Next hour reduction
Our office has no rep and the manager is going round telling everyone the next hour reduction is coming of the start time yet again no other option and he's implementing it ASAP.
Is this right as duties over times already and nothing coming of them?
Should he not be contacting cwu HQ about his plans?
Does this go to a vote with the staff and can we stop it?
Where does it say the hours reduction has to come of start time as manager claiming?
Manager wants to save hours by not filling empty duties stating the next hour of has to be self funded is this true?
Mail arrival times not changed, staff paid overtime for ips. Manager thinks he above national agreements and he can do whatever he wants. Complete joke.

If he wants to knock an hour off the working week then let him do it.

Revision implemented at ours last Monday.
No pay rise for part timers again this week, full timers have had the hour taken off.

Taken off the start time? Great but more work to do in less time?

Re: Next hour reduction
Messed around with start and finish times.
Now get 40 minutes LESS time on a weds and thurs.
Good work.
Part time seemingly expected to think it's ok for full timers to be doing an hour less and we're not.
Again, good work.

Re: Next hour reduction
Do the part-time staff want to lose an hour off their contracts?Part time seemingly expected to think it's ok for full timers to be doing an hour less and we're not.
I'm ever so slightly confused.

Re: Next hour reduction
We want to be paid the same hourly rate as a full timer.
Or, I'll have an hour be taken off MY week and be paid the same as I am now.
Please don't be confused.

Re: Next hour reduction
weve had 12 mins a day taken off the start, plus been moved an hour back so cant start till 7;30am now, plus extra lapsing to cover all the duties that cant complete and the growth areas as we cant put new duties in. More work in less hours

Re: Next hour reduction
Apologies also, there was a thread a bit ago where some were having trouble understanding why we should be getting paid more.Woody Guthrie wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 14:35Ahh that makes more sense, sorry if I picked you up wrong.

Re: Next hour reduction
They are claiming there is a glitch in the system.
Part timers who were made up to full time are still only being paid 25/30 hours.
Full timers who went down to 25 hours are still being paid 38.
They say it will take a couple of weeks to sort out and all pay will be backdated.
The levels of incompetence are staggering.
I might see if I can get paid in Dogecoin.......
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Next hour reduction
Got a bit concerned just then, I thought that thread from about a month ago was going to get reincarnated, you know the one where someone absolutely wouldn't accept that part timers weren't on a better rate than full timers following the latest hour off.

Re: Next hour reduction
Our hour off the week has been split 50/50 off start and finish time, this was agreed with the union.
