Pay Agreement

Post by Thriftycat »

So I left at the end of August 2020 after 2 happy years with Royal Mail. Just found out from HR that I am not going to receive any back pay following the delayed pay agreement as apparently to be eligible for the back pay I needed to still be working with RM on 18th Dec 2020. I find this a bit confusing. Can anyone confirm that this is true (not that I don't believe HR!!).

Yes it is correct.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Seems a tad unfair and can't find anything on the Union site to highlight this as I'm sure I cannot be the only person to be affected.
I and others get punished for the delays of the Union and the RM.

Whatever date they use will be unfair to a certain amount of leavers.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

So there shouldn't be a date at all! Should be you get back payment up until the day you leave. Union shafts it's members...yet again!

I lost out and didn't even get the 5 hours I was owed at the time of leaving. Got told as a lot of people in HR were being made redundant and they weren't interested! Whether that was true or not it just confirmed that RM don't give a toss over their staff! Past or present..
