Downgrade hours to move walks

Following the revision we have been told 4 walks are up for resign, these have been allocated for part timers on 30 hours,full timers used to do 3 of these walks but have now left and part timers have been doing them.Dom says no full timers can apply unless you reduce your hours! The are all in nice areas and sought after but no full timers can apply, is this correct as some of these walks are definitely bigger than some so called full timers walks. Does seniority not count? It just seems like Dom has deliberately saying no full time can apply unless you reduce your hours, I can’t actually see the difference and how they allocate them to part timers only

Part - timers being well looked after....and those that can't actually do the job.

What the DOM says is correct and obvious.

Whether the actual duties warrant a part timer over a full timer is the $64,000 question, which 'should' be being asked by the rep.

In my DO the only basic difference between a FT Duty and a PT Duty is the ammount of Indoor Work. A FT Duty can be turned into a PT Duty simply by removing all the indoor prep, and visa versa.

With a few Monster Duties we've been able to help out the Duty Holders by removing any sorting they may have done in the past, therefore giving them extra time to prep their duty and get out the door earlier. This compensates them for actually having to spend a bit longer on the delivery.

Then you start to get problems from the Duty Holders with less actual work outdoors that are being asked to do more indoor prep & sorting.

It was all a lot easier when we all used to start at the same time ... everyone was on IPS until it was finished and then we all threw off our duties.
