Put on a different walk

We had an office resign a couple of weeks ago and I got to pick a walk based on my seniority. This morning I walk in to find I'm on a different walk all week and someone else is on mine. The managers reason was "operational needs" when pushed she admitted it's because I am quicker and will cover the other walk whereas the person going on my walk won't. She also said I haven't signed for the walk, only chosen it. Is this ok for a manager to chop and change for these reasons.

Unfortunately the only possible response to this is to go slower on the other walk.
Royal Mail doesn't recognise honest and hard working staff, it panders to the useless piss taking bastards. (And the union always has their back)

Yes it seems the less you do the more you get looked after, the guys who cut off at our place and go regularly sick always seems to get away with things like leaving mail no access etc etc yet honest guys who don’t take piss get penalised

I would think being quick or slow wouldn't come under operational needs, get the union involved and I'm sure you will find yourself on the route you should be on.
