Back Pay

I was IHR in August of last year I contacted RM regarding back pay of the pay deal which you guys get from april last year, I was told that it was agreed with the union that to be eligble for any back pay I would have had to be in employment when the deal was finalised, do any of the reps on here know anything of such an agreement

I think you had to be a employee on the 18th December to qualify for the backpay.

Royal Mails way of thanking you for your past service. I was surprised as well that the union conceded to this, but I think it was thrown in to get the deal done. After all if you don’t work for RM anymore what do they care.
