Recent LTB gives a list of what reps can attend, it does not mention Branch Secretary's , is this a ploy by the CWU hierarchy to prevent some troublesome branch secretary's attending and save the embarrassment in front of darling Moya ??

You're getting your meetings mixed up.
The list was produced for the National Briefing - 2nd September 2013 which I would like to think Moya won't be invited to.
Mind you who knows these days?

Why is Moya there? I would have thought it was an ideal time to galvanise the Reps into geeing up the troops for the ballot, not letting Moya give her two pennorth on the benefits of privatisation - of which we have already heard enough. One question I would ask is "why do RM want a no strike agreement if the land of milk and honey is just a sell off away, and if a unit finds itself at odds with local management over matters totally divorced from the current disagreements why would they be excluded from a share issue - should one take place"

On BBC Radio 4's 'Any Questions' two days ago Billy Hayes tells all that "We invited Moya Greene, the Chief Executive of Royal Mail to come and speak to every single union rep in Birmingham on Wednesday" and Moya probably feared bad publicity had she declined such an invitation.
It would be interesting to know whether Billy or "every single union rep" thought it worthwhile having Moya at that Birmingham meeting - as if she or they have now come to some sort of a compromise or agreement.

Billy was on Andrew Marrs Show on Sunday saying that Moya had not convinced a single rep of the need to privatise - if ever they needed persuading. Billy was emphasising the need to protect terms and conditions but if I recall RM has said that the T&Cs will not change for the Core employees so who will be the non-core employees?

I would assume that they are all those who have no permanent contract. So beware any of you folk on fixed term contracts. I would join CWU as fast as you can so that you get a vote in the forthcoming ballot.
