We need a method of working and to stick to it so we regain customer confidence and deliver what we’re meant to do in the time frame we should and that brings more business.
It's a 500 year old company trying to look like a five year old one. 'Oh we're so dynamic and hip!' But instead of acting its age and being a rock of dignified stability it's a rapping granny inducing lethal cringe.
Combined is exactly that -.two duties combined into one. With a HCT.
I've reread the posts on the subject properly now, combined means the 1c and parcels days for two duties so not quite as ridiculous but still a stupid idea for a HCT.
How many packets can you even get in a High Capacity Trolley? If replenishment is needed, evidently not that many. In which case van-based delivery makes more sense. In fact, a van is going to be bringing them out to you - it might as well deliver them too!
As long as commit to deliver is not part of any deal, they can give us as much work as they like but we only have so much time in a shift. So many people still ruin themselves and dont take breaks in order to complete their delivery. The company are literally going to be leaving mail undelivered every day, yet you can bet your life some posties, out of a sense of duty will complete at all costs however much is forced onto them. Its like an illness.

We have 1 hct in our office
The duty gets parcel support
They do not have capacity or time for replemishment
More calls were added to the duty due to this
Where does their madness end
Martin and dave should be telling RM enough is enough
Not trying to manage us on the companys behalf

"capacity" won't be an issue if it's replenished half way though the day, "time" could never have been an issue as it takes a few minutes to replenish an HCT, also any extra time will have to be built into the duty anyway. A bigger issue is the steps/distance to walk if somebody is covering two full rounds, unless they are two rounds close to the DO.

Madness - some posties are just asking to be exploited

The hct duties only cover 1 duty at present
If the hct duty gets added into 3 persons covering 4 duties (which it will)it will no longer be hct but van share
And you are correct it would be impossible to put hct over 2 duties

You've got me thinking about that, would the plan be the same script as van share in that two of the three people would do a hct duty each as now but on alternate weekdays, the third person would do parcels and 1c for the other two duties obviously in a van, then swap round the next day etc.
