I think your getting a bit heated here as remember they having nothing to do with the payrise and they are making most of the profits for Royal Mail.]

So when the Parcels were seperated in the early90's from the delivery offices , for quite a few years after it was loss making and Royal Mail letters was making the profit, which was off our backs , now all of a sudden it is now parcels making the money its like F**K you we are alright jack WEll Thanks, Like someone said they will come for you first to separate from RM, we need to be sticking together to get the best deal , because this is our last chance saloon

Probably April the first 2013 as our last deal ran out then.

Shambles on a serious note what more do you want from me. Yes I do have views and want to better myself which I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I have been on the post along time and seen lots of strikes and been a union member for over 20 years but not anymore which is my choice I know. Yes I did used to go on strike to clarify. As to this possible strike I have said I would go on strike but it has to be substantial, a week not a day here and there because in my view does nothing. On our side we already have monthly pay , no paid meal reliefs which was agreed by the union. On another note went to coventry last night and there is an a4 sheet from union in canteen and 2 a4 sheets in drivers room, cwu union board empty. I don't know what you do but coventry parcels is massive and has hundreds of artic bays which dwarfs letters ndc and that is all that is on display from the union which I would say is a disgrace. You have to look on the counters side they have 13 strikes so far and have they achieved anything, I say no maybe I am wrong. Times are changing and as some people on here say I'll be on minimum wage soon so that is why I am training to do another job.

Serious note, I appreciate everyone has a voice, and is entitled to their say, which is what I've done too, if I have offended you, I'm surprised. Also, I hear what your saying re empty notice boards but there are websites full of info, to view, it's only a click away...We the Posties/Drivers need to fight regardless how many strikes we are basically forced into, and I'm sure the positives of being in the union, far outweigh the negatives, Unity is Strength, and we Are Many, our voices are louder and ARE being heard! Especially in forums like this.

if you don't get that Collective Bargaining in a Labour intensive Industry is the best way [ by no means perfect ] to improve and maintain our terms and conditions , then maybe you can come up with a better suggestion instead of harping on about " I am all right jack " .
