Second thoughts Moya. In this job I have at least three holidays a year, and many lovely weekends with my rich friends at Chequers. If I upset these posties and all those lovely Royal Mail customers they may turn against me in 2015, and I will lose out. I will be stuck in my multi millionaire style mansion in rural Oxfordshire and if wify dear wants three holidays a year I am going to have to put my hand inside them long pockets of that lovely suit and blue tie that I wear on a daily basis. I might even have to go out and get myself some directorships to make ends meet. On balance, I'll put my money on my take on events.....I could be wrong...but I'm long in the tooth about how these people operate, I hope your right, but i doubt it.

Thank you for providing the service - at least I now know that I never want to hear her speak ever again. I know some people think the managers are drones, but listening to the CEO Drone on and on and in the same pitch was hypnotising and not in a good way.

I believe that the hypnotising skill was what got us into BT2010 - nobody thought it was a good deal until Moya addressed the glitterati and the next thing you know is "the deal of the Century" is born and the union leaders are suddenly joint managers of the agreement

I've been to one of these "sit around the table Q&A session " 10 mins per table, you as a group come up with a question for the CEO and they give you their answer, if the question is controversial they ignore it and give you some propaganda bollocks !

CWU Local Representatives National Forum – 12th September 2013 Birmingham International Conference Centre

The purpose of this LTB is to advise Branches that the Union will be holding a National Forum for all CWU Local Representatives within the Royal Mail Group on Thursday 12th September 2013. This Forum will take place at the Birmingham International Conference Centre and will commence at 11am and conclude no later than 3pm.

The Postal Industry is facing unprecedented challenges and the Agenda will reflect all the key issues we are currently dealing with including National Talks and our current dispute, privatisation, pensions and the company’s future strategy.

The Forum has been agreed with the company and normal release arrangements will apply. Any travel or subsistence costs will be proper to CWU Branches.

The meeting will also be addressed by Moya Greene, the Chief Executive of Royal Mail and there will be an opportunity for a short round table Q&A Session.

Please ensure the attached invite letter is immediately forwarded to all CWU Local Representatives including those in Parcelforce. A Final Agenda will be circulated closer to the event.

CWU LOCAL REPRESENTATIVES’ NATIONAL FORUM – 12TH SEPTEMBER 2013


We are pleased to invite you to a CWU Local Representatives National Forum which is being held at the Birmingham International Conference Centre on Thursday 12th September 2013. The Forum commences at 11am and will conclude no later than 3pm.

The Agenda will cover the issues that are affecting the future of the Postal Industry including an update on National Talks and our current dispute, privatisation, pensions and the company’s future strategy.

The meeting will also be addressed by Moya Greene, the Chief Executive of Royal Mail and there will be an opportunity for a short round table Q&A Session.

The release for these meetings has been agreed nationally with Royal Mail and any enquiries you may have about travel arrangements etc should be addressed to your CWU Branch Secretary.

A Final Agenda will be issued closer to the event.

Why does The Forum have to be agreed by the company if it is not financing it in some form of manner. In fact it is financing it big time by paying the wages of 2000plus reps for a day away from their jobs. Do you not think Lounge Lizard that this is an unusual form of financing from a Chief executive that is imminently going to have a national industrial dispute on her hands
