Some of those were elected as they were unopposed.
There will be elections for the Postal Executive Committee as there are 16 nominations
for 14 positions - so only 2 will not get on.

just looking and thinking who would i vote for to go on the nec.
boy its hard to pick any apart from john farnan and maybe pete keenlyside the jury is still out on noel mcclean. and just because hes not a puppet dave warren.

nearly all of them suspended my branch on a whim and a pack of lies from the licks within my branch and the great g/s. didnt even tell us why we where all stood down the g/s could have told them a black crow was white and they would have agreed.. 3 bags full sir men they are..

we now know the ones who would help members without looking for votes and do it because they are proper trade unionists. the rest are yes men to the g/s and vote hunters.

It's not healthy talking to yourself so I'll pose a question,
How many branch nominations do you need to trigger an election contest as opposed to this sad elected unopposed state of affairs.
Whatever your shade of opinion you must admit that this is not a healthy, democratically vibrant state of affairs.

Election by default is the most damning condemnation of our present leadership ,it indicates their complete failure to engage the ordinary membership.
Whilst short term this may suit some personal objectives, long term it represents a disaster for the union as a whole.

So what your saying is that even if their is one canidate they should have their canidacy voted on by the membership?

If you apply that at local level there is a danger of leaving offices without reps.

I think you've misunderstood,or maybe it's my poor expression thats to blame, cos that is not at all what I meant. I've read it again, seems clear as crystal to me, try it once more if you 're still of the same opinion I'll try and put it another way
