How does pieces of eight sound? Repetitive? Well it should do, because you've been banging on the same theme for what seems like forever. The Branch officials are not paid employees of the Union, some may well have ambition to move on in Union affairs, an ambition I am sure you will be familiar with. Make no mistake though they should NOT resign - they have been presented with a fait accompli by those who we elected but also to whom we pay a not inconsiderable salary to conduct our affairs. I am 100% certain Hayes and Ward do not consider this deal as acceptable and I am also 100% certain they aren't really bothered what they agree to. Hayes should try doing another Jack Kerouac but for a lot longer.

All I asked was that you gave an opinion - You have now stated you think they should not resign. Thats it. And you've mentioned the ambition one before mate. Get a new tactic ready for when you're struggling!

Asked and asked and asked. There is nothing to be ashamed of in having ambition Lovejoy, you seem to me to be a very capable and intelligent person and I would certainly vote for you, the one concern I would have would be that rather than independent thought you may well follow the party line and TBH there are enough of them about.

royal mail will do what they want with us. since we had the strike the later starts have come in and what did the union do ?? f.a . i can see us starting later in a few years say 8.00 and dont say it wont happen cos that way we get rid of s.a dutys saving even more money. we shot ourselves in the foot or both feet by having a 5 day week and 1 delivery so we finish nice and early. so last few years we had no tea break and rushing round so we can get home early and im 1 of them. trouble is the managment know we dont work our time so will put extra on our dutys so when some1 leaves his round will be split. so u will have bigger rounds and there be less dutys. less dutys = more sorting = even later getting out = will i ever get this round dun 2day. im sorry 2 say this girls but the good days are gone. the funeral for the royal mail will be held at 11.00 next monday. i trust that all who read this will give a minute of your time to remember how a grade 1 company has now gone 2 this. i thank you
