i will probably go with kye as i heard him speak at conference last year and know he is someone who firmly believes in whats his doing and actually gets out there as an activist. lets hope he can do some good and doesnt get lost in all the internal politics. for the rest of my votes it will probably be the branches recomendations. as lame as that is

Dave ward not my hero, the trouble is the pec all bottled it in the big vote and sided with him, and part of that deal meant we accepted the mail centre closure programe what a s**t deal that was I now only vote for people who voted against dave ward, which was only 4 of them, as soon as we vote these tossers of the pec the better.

Well I have always thought that the best way to get experience is to do it. Otherwise people would never progress and those already in post should mentor the inexperienced.

I would be very surprised if it isn't another 2 years of more or less the same old,same old.
I think Tony Bouch may have a role...other than that..
Quite disappointing that they all disappeared after making their speeches and of course how little interest shown by the membership...not surprising on either count...but disappointing.

I think I mentioned previously nobody talked about the ballot in my office - I doubt anyone voted, that is a very worrying sign for the future of the union. In view of the poor turnouts on all ballots you would imagine the leadership would try to engender some interest in union affairs...............or perhaps it works in their favour to have it the way it is.

As for continued appearances on RMC by candidates - having culled a few votes with the elections almost over.............well perhaps you're right ft, same old same old.

Fishtank, to be fair to Tony, he has monitored this section throughout the process and is still doing so. There has simply been a lack of questions / views from RMC members. If you ask him for views I am sure he would be happy to reply.

DVbukk - You are right, it is a very worrying sign.
