Banbury was about 50/50 again! A few more were on strike than last time but thinking thats just because it was a saturday!you would have thought with all the stuff with the pensions more ppl would have supported the strike.
There was 4 of us from Banbury on the picket line but some union reps from oxford came and joined us,good effort from them to come to Banbury on a Saturday morning to join us.top lads

Managers only working on special deliveries and helping a few customers at the callers office - no staff in at Sale but sadly, for the first time we are informed that some of ours were seen at another local office - no precise details available yet - good picket attendance - one van turned up but returned to base as the gates were locked whilst the managers were out on specials. Again we have had a good and understanding response from the public who have approached the picket for information and at last the sun was shining.

Now been advised that the offenders were from our area but NOT from our office - so good result again.

Nice to see the support that you were given calvin we do the same down here with a smaller local office, our union rep went this morning and was promptly told to clear off or the dum of that office would call the police. so sad when they get to big for their little boot's

we had 3 strike breakers in today and 2 casuals. Better than last time.

Next week we are going to a local office that 95% of 60 workers go in. the strike breakers pick on the none strike breakers in the office. Can we do this?

you can't but your area rep can, so get on to him and make sure he's doing his job properly and spreading the message to all corners of his territory.

last strike we had an office in our area that went in and we all held that against them until someone from that office told us no area rep had visited them during the action and they just didn't understand what was going on. . . . . so give them the benefit of the doubt and get that area rep over there before the next walkout.

it's still worth having a word with the area rep, perhaps he can explain to them why it's so important to be in the union in the first place. . . . just maybe, nobody has explained how devious and nasty the screws can be and how well the union can protect them

Come on shelanda, don't let the bas*ards grind you down. Believe it or not, I think that strike breakers will feel MORE depressed because they have to face the majority of the people who work alongside them and this will alienate them more from everyone else. These strike breakers can't be social with you or your colleagues now. These people will now have to live with the alienation and basically they have dug their own holes. They are not worth getting depressed over and you belong to the majority of the office.

Come on don't show them.

And remind the one (or pass it through the grapevine) to who has had his job saved that he is a hypocrite and a liar.
