I'm not Spartacus and nor is my wife but I fully respect what you guys do for us, its just a bit of a disappointment that the union was not very good at communicating with the grass roots when we were going through the IR framework over the last few months. Now we are suffering under an executive action.

The reps at the office level seem to be doing most of the work and area and division seem to be slow to react. If we can sort that out the CWU will go from strength to strength.

DIV REPS ARE UASUALLY TOO BUSY TO VISIT LOCAL OFFICES SO THEY SAY BUT YOUR AREA REP SHOULD GIVE FULL SUPPORT TO YOUR REP AND SPEAK TO THE SHOP FLOOR TIMR TO TIME.IF THEY DONT WELL GET YOUR REP IF HE IS GOOD ONE TO PUT IN FOR THE AREA REPS POST AND STIR THE SH.T..THIS WILL GIVE HIM AWAKE UP CALL.

My rep phones up the area rep and wallop advice is given ect,he's got all their numbers bar the Div guys.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I have the area rep, branch secretary and divisional reps telephone numbers. The probem I find is they all give conflicting information and if you double check with another of them they take it personally.

Cheers Yorkie, there is a problem now though. I'm not allowed to represent any one any more since I was misled and booted out of being rep. The quote was "we don't like the way you do business" although I followed my area reps instructions. Took seven years to tell me?

I'm so disillusioned with this union that after 20 years of being a member I am considering leaving. My Grandfather was a branch secretary for the coal miners and proud of me becoming rep. He wouldn't believe the way I've been treated if he was alive today.

Yes, if you haven't guessed already, I'm a rep too.

2 years H&S and a further 3 & 1/2 years as a unit rep.
