thanks for your support ips yes i would like to award a serious warning an told if i breech with in a year they can sack me i dont understand some comments people are saying i havent been the first or last for ghost overtime an it was only one hour whats that around 5.50 an im gonna lose my job for that i deliver all mail each day

- did you go into work early on any day in the week that you booked the 1hr OT?
- did you work past your finish time any day in the week that you booked the 1hr OT?

If yes, then tell them this 1hr OT was for comming in early/or working past your finish time that week.

here is what i did i was followed from 6th oct till 9th no overtime claimed home a few days early when the mail is light signed in at 10/2 as thats my hours followed again the wk afterno ot claimed home agin early twice 19th oct till 22nd half hour overtime claimed home again early well there was no mail with strikes 26th 30th 1 hour overtime claimed home early on friday but went in early as hubby was home for kids went in just after 8 but signed in 10/2 as they are my hours some days i use my hubbys van to go to work but them sneeky gets have came to my home to see if my car is here if not they drive down the st i live 20mins from our office an its my own falt i dont take meal relife so where is my justice thats what i did all off october so really its one an a half hours i have a clean record no warnings never been off since maternity i even work when they are stuck is my case feally a serious offence an why am i suspended a warning would of been enough am i still a gonner as they said some days the could find me something else hardly when the rest are van duties

There is one round which is a 35 hour round though its no bigger than any of the 30 hour rounds

The guys who do this 35 hr round on the 35hr man d/o claim an hour
Why should he get 35hours or an hour extra a day and them not

eg 10-2 you are entitled to a paid 20minute break

Sharon you are due meal relief everyday and if you don't take it during your shift you add the time on after your delivery finishes. So you didn't go home early - you were on your meal relief.

You have also gone in almost 2 hrs early on one day?

You need to write this down to show them that you were owed the 1 hr OTand possibly more than you have claimed for.

You have done nothing wrong except maybe you have booked OT on the wrong day by mistake. That is NOT a disciplinary offence.

See your Union rep and tell him you were owed 1hr OT possibly more from missed meal relief and comming in early. He should talk to the managers for you.

NOT if she did not use her meal relief allocation.. In the worse case scenario, she might have deliberately tried to defraud the company 90 mins but the fact is she didn't because her allowances were not included. She did not gain financially and she did not take anything from the company when you add up the sums. Truth be told, when you go back her entire time, how much meal relief has she not claimed for?

Also seeing a workers transport (not an official RM Van) parked outside her house is not proof. THEY NEED PROOF!

You seem very harsh on the girl, she has not been sacked yet and not had the result of the fact finding interview. Until then she must be considered innocent and with the information provided (and I can only go on that) she should not be sacked.

ps I know your worried , I would be, but ive seen people sacked for a lot less. All this following bollux will probably be lies, theyre good at that. But not working with you or knowing anything about the type of managers you have etc its impossible to say what will happen.

Just dont bank on the fact that you have kids, etc ,to mean anything coz theyre very very heartless, its all about their bonus`s, end of argument.

I fully understand where your coming from , having kids and a £1600 a week mortgage myself, and having had 5 mates sacked over nothing in the last 18 months, but every office/manager/dom/reps are totally different and have different rules and qualities-

please stop trying to find wriggle room where there isnt any.neither the manager royal mail or any other fair minded person could care less how many breaks shes not booked in her working life .its to be booked day by day.

i cant book 20 hours overtime one day and say "yeah well, thats for all the breaks ive missed since i started here"

Not quite, you can estimate it. You can also put down 'belated' overtime for meal relief not taken during the week. Fact.
