I see Johnson is endorsed by Bill Morris. The same Bill Morris who told 500 sacked Liverpool Dockers that the TGWU was on their side before selling them out. Birds of a feather flocking together.

[Someone who sticks by their principles, who doesn't change their position]

Mrs Johnson must be pretty bored then - maybe she has a rabbit!

I'd agree that there is a diverse choice but really it won't change anything - the policies would be the same - I would vote for AJ if I thought he would honour his roots.[/quote]

I have asked all the potential candidates a question and the only one so far to reply has been John Cruddass. Still wouldn't vote for him though as I don't trust any of them.

What a arrogant turncoat Alan Johnson he thinks that he is the best candidate for the job.

I remember going on a CWU Rally Against Privatization organized by Alan Johnson.

Today we have Crozier and Leighton both puppets of this so called Labour Goverment I can bet you
Johnson will not support the CWU Union and neither will the Labour Goverment who appointed these Hatchet Men.

The Labour Party do not have the guts to come out openly and Privatize Royal Mail this is their back door method of denying Business to rural Post offices to starve them of cash and put them out of business,

The so called regulator is another method of starving Royal Mail of cash.

Why don't the Goverment allow Royal Mail to compete without any strings attached with the open market and let the public judge who is the best Postal service with their feet

Johnson talks about Principles well people like him think more of their pockets than their principles.

What a bunch of traitors!!

Its time to use the political levy for only Mps who support the trade Unions who have a right to be involved in any industry
as much as these so called Managers

You pay the political levy but you are not a member of the labour party.

I get 2 votes as a member of cwu paying political levy and as a individual labour party member.

The CWU is a affilated union AND HAS BEEN SINCE 1900 when we were the postmans federation.

Labour had no individual mbrs for the first 20 years of its life only affilated unions and socalist societies.

Simple

Jon Cruddas and Peter Hain are both CWU backed MP's.

PH is against the current state of play of competion and has sat in cabinte and called for the review we need so badly. PH worked for the old UCW as head of research so has a very strong understanding of the CWU and its issues.

Cruddas is part of the CWU group of MP's who look after CWU political intrests in parliment.

The group includes a lass who was a CWU rep in counters who unlik johnson didnt sell out and maintained full blown links with the CWU.

Cruddas dosent want a job in goverment he wants to be deputy leader and nothing else.

The deputy PM does not have to be the deputy leader and the PM is under no obligation to appoint a Deputy PM

You have to puta number next to the names so 1 would go to your 1st choice and 2 next to your 2nd choice etc etc.You do not have to use all 6.

To win a canidate needs over 50% of the vote, if no canidate gets 50% then the lowest drops out and his or her 2nd pref votes are alocated to the remaining canidates. the process continues untill somebody gets above 50%.

Complex and i dont fully understand the system myself, but make sure cruddas and hain are your top two regardless of order.

My 1st is cruddas
2nd is hain
3rd is harriet harman
4th is hilary benn

didnt bother with 5 and 6 as that gives votes to hazel (i love blair and he can do no wrong) blears and turncoat ( i sold out to blair) johnson votes which could help them get elected so i decided to leave there boxes blank.

Only blears and johnson are blairite the rest are not. Remmebr the cabinet works on collective responsibity, so once a decision is made you abide by it, the contest has given usa chance to see who in the cabinet has been in 100% favour and those have not. Robin cook left cabinet as he could not abide by the decision on iraq.
