British workers will be on better wages (apparently ), well those that still have jobs, but at least those pesky foreigners will be weeded out of the country. The same foreigners that helped rebuild the nhs and britain. Are we really that rascist a country now ffs. Still at least we will be a sovereign country again. :arrrghhh
Brexit was never about race, its weak minded and insulting to call Brexiters racist little Englanders harking back to the past.

What you are proposing is we all like diving of a cliff and hope the worst will not happen well it's ok if you can have private health care pay for your own security and have a jet on standby when it all goes tits up and a police force in numbers outside your front door to get you to the plane before all hell happens.

We used to enjoy fishing areas that extends up to 200 miles from our coast but under EU terms that is now just 12 miles, but never mind because there are no fish in the sea. We might as well concede that industry for a really a big fish instead - something like the financial services based in London. But how long will it be before all these EU laws brings one of our last remaining successful industries to its knees?? It might not be widely recognised but do some research and you will find that over the last decade it is actually being done in a piecemeal fashion.

I believe that negativity breeds negativity and we end up accepting the potential impact of Brexit as something to be feared when it represents a golden chance for the UK and its many businesses and entrepreneurs to reinforce its position as a leading nation of influence. We are already a well established nation with a strong and stable economy so what we got to lose? We are hardly likely to jump off and sink without trace put it that way. And what is the point of desperately clinging to the side of a crumbling cliff knowing full well that we are never going to be able to climb to the top because all the member states and EU bureaucrats decide against our fate? United Kingdom....nul points. :hmmmm :hmmmm

Ah yes, that famously successful industry ‘financial services’ that didn’t only survive complete collapse in 2008 thanks to huge public subsidies, which didn’t then trigger a decade of throwing poor folk and the disabled under a bus.

Woe betide anyone trying to apply some pesky checks and balances to these utter crooks.

What have we got to lose you state. What about a strong and stable economy and the pound sinking like a stone inflating fuel prices and vital imports? What about the doubling of public finance borrowing to fill the gap in the tax intake due to the increase in unemployment? What about the beef industry facing wipe out because of huge increase in tariffs in their exports. I haven’t seen anywhere from those who promote no deal exit how to overcome the huge difficulties coming our way , except let’s just suck it and see!

What increase in unemployment? What huge increase on beef exports? Where are these "facts" to be found?

Everything is forecast, nothing is fact, that's all you can do in a situation like this because there's very little precedent for what we're about to face but even the most ardent brexiteer has to admit there's very few credible positive forecasts and the ridiculous notion that everyone should "be more positive" based on nothing more than crossing your fingers isn't much of a plan. In fact it's somewhere between recklessness and lunacy when you're throwing all your chips on the table.

Pete, do some proper research on the fishing industry before you claim expertise, what we used to enjoy doing was ignoring the 200 mile rule and popping up to Icelandic waters to steal all their cod. They soon got pissed off with that. Sod all to do with the EU. Since then most of the smaller guys have sold their quotas to the bigger fish (excuse the pun) including the "foreigners". They're not stealing our quotas. They bought them off us fair and square. So now you have what is known in the business as "slipper skippers" who don't even fish, they just lease out their boats and quotas and rake in the cash. Capitalism ruining the fishing industry, how would have imagined such a thing.

What might happen after Brexit?
Nobody in the fishing industry has a f***ing clue and I certainly don't so I doubt you do but the government is standing by to bail them out (another pun) so it probably won't be pretty. It will more than likely be yearly negotiations with everyone involved, you see fish move about a bit.

I don't think we'll see a huge spike in unemployment, successive governments have gotten too good at massaging the figures for starters, I think it'll just accelerate a process that's been taking place for the last decade or more - secure jobs being replaced by precarious ones (Royal Mail being a good example of this). This government's always going on about how many jobs it's created, but I've currently got two jobs, and was classed as self employed (did that make me one of these entrepreneurs we keep hearing about?) through another company until recently, this is becoming pretty normal for anyone under 35 (with all the knock on effects for everything from home ownership to pensions to mental health) and it's hard to see how Brexit will do anything but speed up this shift (which, it has to be said, is obviously happening while we're in the EU, it's why essentially offering up a defence of the status quo is definitely a huge weakness of the remain argument and one reason I’m pessimistic of remain winning any second referendum).

Here’s de Piero setting the record straight btw, it’s just absurd the lengths folk’ll go to to get mad at Corbyn now, people just zone out, it’s a shame because any constructive criticism or genuine concerns around racism or bullying are increasingly falling on deaf ears, apparently no one’s read the boy who cried wolf

I don't need a lecture about what happened in the Cod Wars. What I was pointing out was that following Brexit, the UK will no longer be part of the EU Common Fisheries Policy. We will instead become an independent coastal state and be fully responsible for managing fisheries in the UK's exclusive Economic Zone of 200 miles.

And, I've heard all about the "quota hoppers" - the foreign fishermen who bought British boats and licences to gain access to the UK's fishing quota. Its the main reason why fishing towns like Grimsby and Fleetwood and many other coastal towns are on its knees and voted for Brexit. Never mind the fishermen raking in the cash, what you are left with are whole towns in decline because fishing also provided much local work for winch makers, trawler suppliers, net makers, engineers etc.

I think the BBC were last saying that armageddon was going to happen if we have a No Deal Brexit.

How is disagreeing with the existance of Israel not antisemitic?

Btw a video a of Jeremy that might open your eyes. Just type "Corbyn blames bombings on Israel" into google.

Just like disagreeing with the South African Apartheid wasn't anti-white, or disagreeing with the partition of Korea isn't anti-Asian, or disagreeing with the Russian take over of the Crimea doesn't make you anti-Russian. You can disagree with the politics of a country, it doesn't make you anti-that countries religion or people.

As to the video, the only I saw was about 1:40 long, was focused on that comment but gives no context so I am not sure how much weight to put on it, was it speculation or blaming, I guess only Corbyn truly knows.
