It wasn't over then as well I know

Cheap? Not for the many who lost their lives both military and civilian, something that good old Jezza and his acolytes are quite happy to forget or ignore. Is he the man who should lead this country? Not in a million years, he is a man who would rub shoulders with terrorists and yet refuse to defend his own country.

I have family links to Donegal. I was then, as I am now, in favour of a united Ireland. Does that make me a bomber also ?

Lives were lost on both sides - but mostly on the side of the Irish.

Your opinion is not worth more than mine just cos you served in an army that occupied a foreign country. It certainly doesn't give you any more moral legitimacy.

Things have moved on for the better. Best to let it go I'd say.

His history is as pitifully weak as his understanding of the political situation then and now.
I gave up taking this bloke seriously some time back, and nothing he's posted since changes that opinion.

You're in favour of a united Ireland BUT the majority in the North aren't. As for lives lost, mainly from indiscriminate bombing of civilians both in the north and on the mainland. As Jezza has said in the past it's jaw jaw not war war however he seems to be pretty indiscriminate when he befriends those who prefer war rather than jaw. Perhaps we should ignore what has gone on before and as a matter of interest my grandparents were Irish and that didn't colour my judgement one iota.
