So we put ourselves through hardship following our union’s calls for unity and strength, only to be offered the same deal two months down the line. What a f***ing disgrace!!!

TOTAL SELL OUT

Post by ulster postie »

IF this is the best deal that billy and dave could get after months of talks, and members loosing £100s of pounds, words fail me. THERE are to many copouts, the pension, d2ds, local agreements on flexability, later starts, monthly pay, the weak & small offices are going to be left on their own. WHY has our supposed leaders given the bosses the chance to rip up all the national agreements we have fought for and won over the years. this is a total disgrace. WE ARE BEING ASKED TO ENDORSE SOMETHING THAT HASNT EVEN BEEN AGREED, WHY HAVE THESE UNAGREED PORTIONS BEEN LEFT ASIDE TO BE DISCUSED AT A LATER DATE, I THINK ITS CALLED DEVIDE & CONQUER.
THIS C.W.U. LEADERSHIP NEEDS TO BE GIVEN A RESOUNDING KICK UP THE ASS. VOTE NO, THEN A NEW LEADERSHIP CAN BE BROUGHT IN AND TAKE UP THE FIGHT.

ONWARDS AND UPWARDS

YES

its a load of shite.
well they agree that they will put the vote to 130,000 postmen/women, but nearly everything that needs sorting will be discussed at a later date (sorry i meant you'll all be bum fecked at a later date)

its a big fat NO.
basically they've brushed it under the carpet in true Royal Mail profesionalism, and the CWU have gone for it.

Personally, and i haven't read all yet, if start times is a local issue now, i'd be inclined to think my area will revert back to how it was orginally. If it wasn't broke, why fix it.

C'mon guys it's not all bad. Billy and Dave will be retiring at 60 with a final salary pension, and a pay increase this year of what?

Do I think the deal is crap? - yes it is undoubtedly the worst case scenario - what RM want RM get. Here we have the negotiating officers negotiating absolutely like a pair of amateurs telling the reps to "negotiate and agree locally" any changes and to treat each other with respect :funneh :funneh :funneh

Will I vote NO - No I will vote YES. Why? Because you've got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em and it is time to fold 'em. Voting NO will only prolong the agony - these two aren't going to negotiate anything different because mentally they have already accepted and nothing is going to change that.

The next stage of the membership participation should be to get rid of these gravy train robbers and the quicker the better before we're standing at the gates, not on a picket, but wondering if we are going to get a days work!
