If we get an agreement put to the membership

AND

What the timetable of the ballot is.

AND

How quick Royal Mail are willing to activate it.

Work force will be generally unreasonable if given another dangling carrot, when they are expected to 'deliver' christmas.
And its taken away from them in the few weeks before...
There will be alot of families, let down if its not turned around. The lump sum has probably had everyone expecting it. In time for christmas.
And if they can do that to employees, i personally dont want to work for them anymore.

Union basically lost this by not getting their act together before the firm was privatized. If we'd have been on strike before, privatization could've been scuppered.
Also, when they called off the first strike they should have set another date and stuck to it and by now the firm would be in backlog hell. If that wouldn't have concentrated their minds nothing would. Union backing off seems to have not gotten us very far at all..
Union has let us down in the past and looks like they're keeping to form.. leadership should be ashamed. (Don't think they will though, nice comfy little well paid numbers ain't they)

I was honestly hoping we would get some kind of deal down this side of x-mas, It would appear this is not going to be the case I just hope all of this has been worth it in the end and we don't end up with egg in our faces.
Can anyone in the "know" even confirm if the pay deal is backdated to April and not October? (we've been stung like that before) I've just this bad feeling that we're going to get offered X amount and it will be less than what was originally offered and RM will be laughing there heads off all the way to the bank.
