Fish the RFID is. Available in the WBC , in the mail centre and Delivery Offices and then returned to the mail centre.

Now in terms of customers recevng then I believe they will be having independent checks.

I think we need to live in reality, the reason D2D's are not delivered are that it's the easiest thing for a dom to say to leave, as he then gets rid of them at the end of the week. D2D are not being reported honestly, dom's are reporting 1-5% returns when the real figure is 20%+, once again it's managers not managing!! I do not believe it's anything to do with massive amounts of too many items being delivered to offices. Will DSM change anything? will they care? as long as the spend is under control. Will we now see plenty of manager sacked for ignoring what's been happening for years, quick answer NO!!  :no no :no no

I think the 60% rate is both a symptom and a cause of the current state of the BT2010 deal.

We warned on here that adding into the workload had to be done correctly or we were on a hiding to nothing. A lot of offices did nothing to add them to the workload beyond adjusting the call rate so that it appeared it was included. However,no duties were reduced or introduced, so people feel under pressure and the see dumping D2Ds as the easiest option. Managers are the same, when duties cannot be completed except on Overtime the easiest thing for a manager to do is to not get the D2Ds prepped, if they do, they are less likely to get anyone volunteering.

In my reality that reads as 'Posties not posting', not 'Managers not managing'. The core problem is that the items are not being delivered by those paid to deliver them. I'm not denying there aren't blameworthy Manager but I've been to many offices and regardless of how many of you wish to blame the Managers, it is overwhelmingly the OPGs who are to blame for the failed deliveries.

And the managers to blame for not having control measures in place to ensure they do.
We are talking about returns from a D.O. here not OPGs dumping it in their bin where a manager might be unaware of the situation.
There are no circumstances i can think of in a D.O. situation where it wouldn't be down to poor management control.

Well you can call it poor management control, but the CWU insist that a Manager cannot enforce 1/6th per day and that it is up to the duty holder to manage the allocation as long as all of it is cleared within those six days. They have also tried to prevent the insistence of requesting that all D2D items are placed into frames, (some preferring to carry them separately bundled).
How if each duty in any DO can choose their own delivery schedule and preparation methods can a Manager exercise this control? Their only real control is in what comes in and out of the DO, if the correct amount goes out of the door, prepped with the mail, then all they have to do is police the returns, that is all that should be required.

They're all knobs - posties that don't deliver them and managers who have never attempted to raise the profile of D2D or ensured they are delivered correctly. (And randomly prepping the excess into the next week fails on both counts .....again)
I think in every DO there should be 2 sackings - 1 manager and 1 postie.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

If an OPG isn't delivering it...it must go somewhere.
Since this whole thread is about D.O. returns it must be getting left in the D.O.
Do they dump it in a York in the corner of the office?
Is it left under their frame?
Is it being dumped under their colleagues frame?
Are they wallpapering the toilets with it?
At the end of the day that's what the cameras are for. :cuppa

Our staff have to sign a sheet daily to say they have delivered 1/6th of the D2Ds and any that are left over are put on top of the frame and a member of the indoor staff then notes the number of leave ins for each D2D for each duty - in that way, in theory at least, the manager knows how many have been delivered, by whom and any consistent excess should then be reported and rectified.

so I presume that the elite guard of postal workers that work in Perth weighing the D2D are exempt from any errors? the A plus is correct on a delivery I do yet sometimes 200 over? and last week 30 short? and why do they have mixed walk boxes to further complicate the process?

How do you put 6 lots of d2ds in your frame.
Double slots and bulky d2s make this impossible. :arrrghhh :arrrghhh
How would you do it ?
Have you ever prepped and delivered d2ds
Please feel free to tell us how's it's done.

First of all let me start by assuring you that I have always managed to prep all of my D2D into my RM2000, even in double slotted sections. I will add however that 6 D2D are not the norm and that the OPG's carrying separate bundles do so for one, two, three, four and five contracts too.
If you need a larger frame or require to increase width of slots then ask your Manager and they may be able to increase the label sizing and add an additional wing or two.

In my experience often the same people who complain they will not fit between the dividers are also those who insist on prepping / forcing small packets to those same slots!

RFID will expose those who deliver 2 d2d to the same address as will the audit into a plus.
Dingo do you really DSM's ect will be truthful? My DOM of 27 years service was caught by an audit where there were excess D2D's placed in an oven. Fishtank is correct managers will lie.
perhaps he was trying to dry them out ;liar

what happened to the DOM ?

:Very Happy  :left:

Wasn't just an oven, they were in cupboards everywhere upstairs, he was sacked or he resigned, but he was history.

:Very Happy

ha ha ha. That's what happens when they advertise for managers with resourceful and imaginative approaches to problem solving.
