Throgg wrote: So the current throughput claimed by RM via the IWT should be 11.5 (from putting the first letter in your frame until walking out the door having tied up), am i correct?

Was this IWT figure agreed by the union last year?
The throughput figure changes on a daily basis and is different for every walk depending on the mix of mail and whether it is sequenced but anywhere between 11.5 and 13.5 is pretty typical.

This is from an IWT output that i think Geezer put up.

As you can see the items per minute(IPM) are between 12 and 13 but i must stress again that these are not individual performance standards they are office resourcing figures,if your manager tries to use them to test members ability submit a grievance and involve the higher ups...it's what they are paid for.
And feel free to PM..i will help if i can.

The 22.5 figure quoted by DOMs is simply the one minute test downdialled by 10%.
On top of this you are usually allowed 30 minutes for redis/dead letters/tie down.
It is a system destined (designed?) to fail.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
