Aren`t the union meant to be meeting tomrrow to assess the impact so far? Hopefully they`ll be planning further action to continue on from the 8th August and give RM no breathing space.
As a delivery office we won't really see the effect of all this until monday, but we believe it's gonna be hectic . . . . . so as I've said so many times before, it's time to do the job properly and not run around like idiots trying to make up for the strike days . . . . . as was said in this very thread earlier on, we must have a Withdrawal of Goodwill ( I like that phrase )
Cambridge DO this morning (Monday 30th). Tray upon tray of mailsort 3 left unsorted. There would have been even more if some of the prats here had started at 5 o'clock instead of coming in early. Will we ever get through to some of these people?
I'm a Postman at the Henley Road Delivery Office in Cambridge.
My DO was full to the rafters today and we worked to time on everything IPS, throwing off, bundling up, MRs and I think we only got about 50% of it done. DOM has said whatever was left today will go tomorrow. Well OK but what about tomorrows stuff.

no you'll never get through to early starters until job and finish is consigned to history books.

i totally agree scrap job and finish
the sooner the better. then there will be no incentive to run in early. work like hell and run round delivery in the hope of making a little bit of time.

same at Sevenoaks with most of the guys doing the job properly, just a few left still to learn the benefits but I think they will. . . . . . some were willing to stay out and book it but they were told no docket would be paid so back it came. . . . . bags of mail stacked up outside screws office when I left and I'm sure most will still be there in the morning so another heavy one tomorrow then . . . . . who said this staggered strike action wasn't working, it's causing more trouble than all the previous one dayers put together, in our office anyway
