Good turnout at Avonmouth(BS11) same three strike breakers turned up. I was there at 4.10 as we had a tip off they would be in at 4.30. Sure enough they two of them were, the third walked in at 5.55. I LOVE it when a plan comes together!! Everyone stayed until the dum locked the RLE and side gate at 9.20. Was a long day for him, he usually clears off a lot earlier, ha,ha,ha!!!!!

Not bad today I was on the pickett line by 03:00am cos we have earley birds ,driver told me that one bloke in all night with a Dum. Spose someone has to keep him company. By the time I had left at 07:45 only 5 strike breakers had turned out , the same as last time ,but what makes me mad is that one of the sacb scum is so proud of it, he walks around the office letting all know that he is going to come in. Got to say he is a bit of a prick at the best of time . Right can anyone on this site confirm a rumour which is going around down hear that all mail centre managers have had their summer leave in August cancelled. This is what were told today by people going home from the mail centre. If it is true then it just shows how affective we really are being with the action that we are taking.

There were 3 people and the DOM in our office today, probably because nobody bothered turn up to the picket line, i was there manning the gate on my own from 4:30am until 9am.
It seems like support for a picket on a saturday is non existent, probably because most of the staff in our office are hen-pecked husband types.

With nobody else there on the line, were you not tempted to go in to work yourself? I'm sure no-one would have found out!!Cybitech wrote:in our office, we've lost the union rep, because he just gave his van and box keys to the DOM and walked out, not heard from since.

Sounds like you should put your name forward as the next office rep, although support does not look strong (with picket line attendance yesterday).

Perhaps he's got principles? Not everyone is like you lot you know.DOM wrote:With nobody else there on the line, were you not tempted to go in to work yourself? I'm sure no-one would have found out!!
Cybitech, stick with it mate! Better to be a Horatius at the bridge than Vidkun Quisling selling out to the enemy.

Everyone who manned a picket line on Saturday morning, me included was there in spirit. So don't see it as just you at the gate, in reality there were thousands of pickets standing shoulder to shoulder with you and they will be till the end.Cybitech wrote:There were 3 people and the DOM in our office today, probably because nobody bothered turn up to the picket line, i was there manning the gate on my own from 4:30am until 9am.
