You can't get much more boss friendly than a union based on a party which has a land owner in charge and which attracts the terminaly thick to its ranks.Spartacus wrote:How long will it be before a new bosses friendly union makes an appearance?
Union of Democratic postmen or some such name will have Leighton and Crazier creaming their collective pants.
Better we keep the strike breakers and their money in our union, the reps can always give them the "appropriate represention" can't they?
The thing with the BNP union bollix is that no sane employer would recognise or deal with them,it would be a public relations disaster to be seen cavorting with racists and their fellow travellers.
I'd still rather have strike breakers inside our tent p*ssing out than outside p*ssing in,at least that way they still pay for the "privilege" of being badly represented and generally ignored.
Expelling people is a bit too much for me,if they go in to work it's because we haven't won the argument or failed to convince them. It's up to those of us who believe in trade unionism to put our case across better than we have done.

Let's be honest, this particular disagreement isn't between us and the local level managers, they're just telling us what they're told to tell us by the real problems, the boys at the very top. If we were to have local level managers on side it wouldn't be a bad thing but they all seem scared to air their true beliefs, several have admitted to me in confidence that they, at least partly, agree with our cause.
Perhaps if they showed some supprot now they might get some in return when they get these same problems thrown at them once our dispute is resolved. It doesn't take a genius to realise the low level managers are next on the list of targets.
So come on screws, grow some backbone and speak out, tell us what you REALLY think.

Billy, if you had seen the soft sods at our office when we lost that ballot in 2003, you would have thought they had won the pools and the lottery all on the same day. They were practically doing high fives, and the smug grins on their daft mugs told me there and then that they were every bit as much the enemy as the scum at the top passing down the orders. When I put my 'x' next to YES, the thought of those shiny arsed oafs was there in my mind. In my office they've done away with nights, brought in later start times and tried to bring in five over six, the only thing stopping it being someone finding out from the CWU website that such deals should not be entered into. They're stooges, but very willingly so.billypants wrote:Let's be honest, this particular disagreement isn't between us and the local level managers

scab
Yes they should be thrown out. We have a female postie in our office who moans and groans all the bloody time about how things are , but she has decided to cross the line tommorow as she did not think that it would reach this far. But far worse than that is the postie who is going in on his day off his only reason he can earn so good money out off it. I hope it chokes him
Ahh yes scabbus horriblus docketus---------------the worst virus of all.
I recommend a good dose of baseballbatarium (twice daily)

i totally agree that any union members that cross any picket line should be kicked out of any union. Can that be legal if so lets get the names of all strike breakers & pass their names to the CWU, i too would willingly pay 50p or so to remove them from our union & to make up for their subs.I SAY BRING IT ON,& KEEP STRONG

Woah right there my friend there seems to be a misunderstanding here . . . .IWW Fellow Worker wrote:Billy, if you had seen the soft sods at our office when we lost that ballot in 2003, you would have thought they had won the pools and the lottery all on the same day. I am in no way saying the local screws don't play there part willingly and that they haven't been brainwashed into the company line . . . . . . . but as my last line says all I want is for them to grow a backbone and be honest with us with what they really believe. . . . . . .keep your friends close and your enemies even closer
at this time of trouble ALL support, no matter where from, should be welcomed ( if perhaps with caution )
check my posts, we are very definately on the same side here
