I had a specialists note that was sent directly to the DOM (the specialist did not give any such note to the patient).
He actually managed to lose it (incompetent or what)

needless to say RM have never contributed towards my footwear costs.

I have always worn appropriate footwear for deliveries, if any manager ever had the temerity to complain about my choice of footwear they would be required to pay for an acceptable alternative.

As I can no longer do deliveries trainers are now the order or the day.

If you have a medical problem you can go through the Post Office EHS to get a recommendation for money to purchase suitable footwear. :wave

if you buy your own footwear give the receipt to your boss there is a form to fill out on the computer and it takes about 2 weeks to get your up to £30 back you have to be aproved for your own footwear though ive had about 10 pairs now

I cant wear the shoes provided, contacted EHS, they phoned me to ask why, they then sent letter to DOM and RM pay me £30 to put to each pair of proper walking shoes I buy. :dance

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

In my gaff certain people can wear whatever they like.

The day after the xmas party I wore blue jeans and white trainers and got told in no uncertain terms that if it happens again I'll be sent home to change.

Who's getting bitchy, mate?! Just trying to have a bit of banter!

We might be on the slide but it'll take us a f*ckin long time to catch up with you lot. 46 years, say no more.

Oh, and I'm wearing navy trainer socks as I was wearing me black trainers and shorts today.
