"Units may also enact the new terms
and conditions of employees that entered on or after 1 December 2022 to ensure the workload
on LAT is covered daily. The delivery of these items should normally be completed by 19:00
hours, however taking into account that this is our peak delivery period, delivery can be
extended up to 21:00 hours in weeks 35-39, but must be subject to the appropriate safety and
security risk assessments.”

New starters be aware.

I got out just in time.
Being on delivery 3-9pm would suck especially in December.

100%. Talk about amplifying the 2 tier work force issues.

I personally couldn’t put up with those hours let alone working full shift in the dark, extra traffic, lack of parking etc. And that’s just when out on delivery let alone inside the circus of a delivery unit. Lack of PDA,s, vehicles, staff and awful planning thrown in.

My delivery office didn’t even have batteries for the headlight that i ordered through the ppl APP last year so i had to purchase my own. Also the battery compartment cover was broken leading to the batteries falling out. i had to order my own from Amazon just to have a functioning headlight should i need it. Sounds like i’m making this up but it’s absolutely the truth. Did i also mention buying my own large elastic bands from amazon too? Yep i did :arrrghhh .

I recycle my laggy bands, bring them back and keep using them, also topping up when required. I hide them from the vultures in the office, who’ll swoop once your back is turned. :no no

Same at our office everyone recycles them, we've always got loads though as the Dom support orders them when necessary, running out is the same as most other issues in RM it's down to whoever is responsible to do things can't be arsed to do their job.

Sickness will be up this xmas for sure. A lot of offices are around 25-30% staff down already so unless they get two people to two walks which won't happen then tracked and 1C off both duties will be virtually impossible.
In a nutshell this is probably going to be the worst Xmas on record at RM.
Why will sickness be up? Are you one of these people that throws a sickie as soon as things get a bit tough?

Let's get the contracts equal eh?, no chance when they can do this kind of thing. Add this to the compulsory/forced Sundays and you see why three people on new contracts in our office all left within two months..

Surely any new starter accepting a job offer knows that they have to work Sundays, as they would working in a supermarket etc? It hardly seems a reason for leaving after a couple of months, even if there are plenty of other reasons?

Yeah I get this, but at interview I was told even though it's in our contract, no one on new contracts had been asked to work Sundays ever at our office, but around 11 months into the job our office was asked to put the new contracts on a Sunday rota at a diff depot, so yeah it kinda miffed us all off,

Yes. new contract people at our office have to work Sundays at a bigger office about 6 miles.
