The mail sitting underneath the frames that taxi for leighton mentions is the backlogged mail that was sent to Forfar to be sorted. Many guys have five others have up to eight boxes of this stuff! Nice idea Royal Mail!
The management brought in 20 managers from Edinburgh and Glasgow to deliver packets yesterday (Sunday). The office doesn't look any different.
The duties that are currently held by the retiring guys have as stated advertised as 29hr contracts rather than 40. The only full time one to be advertised is the retiring driver, and rumour is if a current full timer takes said driving duty, their walk will also revert to a 29 hour contract.
The union may not know about these advertisments as our union rep is now on holiday! They were conveniently posted up today!
One of our managers is also trying to remove the fifteen minutes pouching off time that we are entitled to!
