Well the vote grows closer but from a purely open mind I would bet on a huge NO vote to independence. It may sound an attractive proposition but it truly is a suck it and see gamble from an outsiders point of view.

is it any more of a gamble than a tory government and a referendum on in/out of Europe and wherever that leads?.Its this idea that the UK is a steady ship that I find unfounded. If we are out of recession why are they not raising interest rates?

Tell me, will it continue to be judged favourably in that regard if it goes headlong in to plans to not take on our share of the UK's debt?

Because I would say that is intrinsically linked to the currency union issue.

So there you are!That's why the odds are a currency union deal will be struck otherwise your making out the markets would prefer to lose assets and punish Scotland later which goes against the grain.
