Did you expect others to do the work you did not do? If i came back and the mail i had left was still there, then i would make sure i did that bit the next day and if needed leave another area.
As stated by others it is the DOM's call what gets delivered, but in some offices personalities come into the equation.

All the more reason to have the support of the Union, to distinguish/highlight the right from the wrong. Don't forget we are ALL the Union.
